Nine points behind top placed Bristol City and eight behind second placed Stoke.

Just a month ago those gaps were 16 and 15.

And Wolves go to Bristol City on Saturday.

It's not going to happen, and having dropped out of the top six thanks to Crystal Palace's win at Stoke last night Wolves know they still have it all to do just to reach the play-offs.

But that dwindling gap towards the top two shows this is a Championship that no one seems able to win, and will have Wolves fans everywhere wondering about the odd point or three previously frittered away.
