Oh What a Night........
There'll be a real feeling of the morning after the night before for Wolves fans this morning after the extraordinary finish to last night's game with Southampton.
A sort of 'Did that really happen? Did we really take the lead in the 88th minute and then concede in almost the final few seconds of injury time'?
Sadly it's all too true.
For me, it revived memories of the latter stages of the Premiership season and the trip to Manchester City.
After four successive defeats Wolves went into injury time 3-2 to the good and just seconds away from a crucial morale-boosting victory until Shaun Wright-Phillips drove through a crowded goalmouth.
That was a blow which pretty much ended any hopes of a revival and condemned Wolves to relegation.
Last night's events could prove an equally bitter pill to swallow at the other end of the Championship table.
From being within striking distance with a game in hand instead Wolves are now four points adrift again with two tough away games to come.
Will all be looking back at the end of the season and bemoaning Jason Euell's free header as a hammer blow against promotion?
And what of Mick McCarthy?
Opinion remains divided on the Wolves manager but surely even his detractors can only applaud the heart-on-sleeve passion of the man at the helm.
From angrily taking off his jacket and thrusting it to the floor and kicking lumps out of the dugout McCarthy in the closing stages ran the whole gamut of raw emotions.
Little wonder he bore a bristling yet deflated presence in the post-match press conference.
"I'm afraid I'm going to make it tough for you lads because I really don't know what to say," was his opening gambit.
The players too were bemused, one or two politely but understandably declining interview requests but Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Kevin Foley speaking up.
Foley's view on THAT penalty can be seen in the Birmingham Mail and on the website later.
And all this at the end of a game launched amid an impeccable minute's silence in memory of former coach Carl Hoddle.
The regime of Carl's brother Glenn is not one remembered with much fondness by the Molineux faithful, but their reverence and respect last night was a pleasure to behold.
They have their critics the Wolves fans, but more often than not they come up with the goods.
That injury time heartache was something they just didn't deserve.

McCarthy can stamp his feet and lob his jacket around all he likes, doesn't make him a good manager does it? Playing up to the crowd I reckon. Bring back Dave Jones or Sammy Chung
