This new kit
Is it me, or does it all look a bit 1985/86 to you?
All it needs is a non-smoking sign and...
No, let's not even go there, otherwise I'll start getting worried about the prospect of seeing Garth Crooks sometime soon.
And, frankly, I'd rather not.
(I won't even mention the results)
Question is, Albion fans, do you prefer it with, or without, the sponsors?

I like the home kit cos I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I might not get the sponsors name added to it to keep that retro feel to it.
The away kit makes the players look like referees. Is it an attempt to improve the decisions we normally get in the Premiership? Think it might look different (and better) with Ladbrokes/Carlsberg/LDV/Bob's Motor Bargains splashed across the front though.
I like it and will be getting it without the sponser. My first Albion kit was that of the 85/86 season and I loved it to death so thats my reason for liking the similarity
Ah yes.....1985/6!
The season Albion sank quicker than the Titanic from Division One (the Premiership) into Division Two (the Championship).
Just four wins from 42 games, including a double over the Blues (!) and a season that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
But in saying that i just wish that the likes of Derek Statham, Ally Robertson, and Martin Bennett were around today.
THEY wouldn't just be squad members they'd be permanent fixtures in the team week in week out.
"Come back lads, your club needs you"!
On the question of club strips I'd be intrigued to hear answers to the question "Would Baggies fans, given the choice, prefer to but a replica shirt with or WITHOUT an advertising Logo?"
Come on Chris ask the question (!) and if you do i reckon you know which way I'd cast my vote!!!
Chris, what do you think about the decisison to dispense of the services of the Rev? I imagine this will cause few ripples if any but this is another example of the club moving away from the fans and the community. Whilst everyone gets excited about possible new signings its probably worthwhile spending a moment thinking about where our club is heading. Its the working mans game, not a rich mans passport to further riches.
I thought Chris' blog on the Chaplin was excellent. It is evident from what Chris wrote that the Chaplin did some excellent work behind the scenes. To lose someone of his calibre is a big blow. It isn't as if the Club is trying to save money. Let's hope that common sense will prevail and the Club has a re-think and invites the Chaplin back.
