Masking in glory
IMAGINE walking into your own birthday party down the local boozer and seeing several dozen 'faces' of you staring back?
Baggies fans who went to Loftus Road for the final game of the season may recall the 'Super Kev' masks, which were produced as part of the tribute to Kevin Phillips for the Super Heroes theme.
The trip to London prompted two Albion fans to launch a new business called Mask-arade Ltd, specialising in providing personalised novelty masks for stag weekends, hen parties, birthdays, sporting events. All you need to do is email a photo of the unsuspecting stag/hen/birthday boy or girl and they will produce the masks to suit. Or even personalised t-shirts and boxer shorts.
And the company - made up of Dean Walton, Ray Duffy and Chris O'Nyan - also produced the first in a limited edition Legends series of flush-fitting fridge magnets, those of Jeff Astle. George Best and Bobby Moore have now also been added.
The venture is catching on and Dragons Den has already shown an interest - they are hoping to appear on the next-but-one series of the popular TV show.
