Wyatt and Partridge's record is safe.

By Brian Halford on Apr 15, 11 12:24 PM

Warwickshire 499 for 7 (112 overs). Woakes 72, Botha 3.

Chopra's magnificent innings - 210, 348 balls, 29 fours, three sixes - ends when Mendis turns one in and wins an lbw decision. The seventh-wicket stand wth Woakes closes at 123 - 15 short of Warwickshire's record against Somerset, the 138 by Bob Wyatt and Norman Partridge in 1925.

A butterfly has just meandered across the field at the River End. Lovely to see so many butterflies around early this year.

Mendis, just brought on, is flighting the ball more and bowling from the other end today and looking much better.

Keep up to date
