Stourbridge's finest

By Brian Halford on Apr 21, 11 03:29 PM

Worcestershire 341 for 6 (96 overs). Pardoe 46, Cox 21.

Two local boys are doing a fine job for their county. Pardoe, in only his second championship match, has played some lovely shots, most recently a crashing square drive off Miller.

The new ball has been seen off with Clarke and Botha replacing Woakes and Miller.

Warwickshire have paid the price for wayward bowling and dropped catches. Their accident-prone couple of days so far best summed up by Woakes joining a short list of batsmen in the history of cricket to have sustained a hand injury while running between the wickets!

Neil Carter is doing some batting with the 2nds this afternoon but is highly unlikely to be back with the 1sts before the Twenty20. Tim Ambrose should be available at Durham next week.

Shame about Carter being crocked and Imran Tahir leaving but we could have had Maddy in. Big mistake.
