Porterfield was dropped, on 1, by Richardson off Thorpe.

Porterfield struck Stokes handsomely through the covers for four in the penultimate over before lunch. It was a lovely shot but he tried to repeat it next ball and was very lucky to get another four through the slips.

Durham fancy getting him caught in the cordon. I would imagine.
