Nuts down

By Brian Halford on Apr 22, 11 12:50 PM

LUNCH: Warwickshire 157 for 2 (54 overs). Chopra 103, Yousuf 3.

Porterfield got his nut down but never looked comfortable in a 56-ball stay for ten before being adjudged caught behind, pulling at Andrew. He looked aghast at the decision and the ball did appear to come off his shoulder.

Chopra has got his nut down and continued to bat fluently, albeit never allowed to score too freely against an attack which has persevered well in hot sunshine, though wasting a bit too much energy on propelling spheres which did not require a stroke.

Yousuf got his nut down on a short-term mission to see it through to lunch.

The bowlers have got their nuts down working hard in conditions starting to tilt against them and the occupants of the press-box have, as ever, had their nuts down, working like trojans on this sun-blessed Good Friday.

Without tempting fate the lads are batting well. Odd ball behaving again.

If you fancy an over at tea we playing in front of the Worcester news sign in front of Hick Pavillion. Get the old leggies going!

Ok Beatie, I'll pop over an umpire. Sadly, the decaying back won't permit any bowling.
