Chopra plays jolly well

By Brian Halford on Apr 22, 11 05:32 PM

Warwickshire 371 for 3 (107 overs). Chopra 203, Troughton 23.

Chopra makes history as the first Warwickshire player to score double-centuries in two successive matches.

The standing ovation said it all. A magnificent effort. He reached 200 from 350 balls with 31 fours and a six. Sparkling strokeplay, textbook technique, formidable powers of concentration. Groovy all-round really.

Yousuf made 81.

Worcestershire have bowled pretty well without luck. They certainly deserve to be looking at better than 371 for 3.

There is still a bit in this pitch for the bowlers. Warwickshire will fancy winning this match now.

Troughton has come in to make a bit of late-in-the-day hay. Andrew's last over went for 4-4-1-4-4-4.

Sounds a magnificent day-really didn't see this coming from Chopra.

Great to see Jim have fun too. How was Yousuf?

Would be great if we could win it!

A very classy knock from Yousef. An effortless straight 6 was probably the highlight shot.
