'Chopra falls for less than 200' shock.

By Brian Halford on Apr 26, 11 12:36 PM

Warwickshire 76 for 2 (23 overs). Porterfield 0, Yousuf 3.

Durham strike blows in successive overs. Westwood, on 46 (71 balls), edges Thorp to wicket-keeper Richardson then Chopra (23) miscues Brathwaite to mid-wicket and departs looking ruefully at the pitch as though the ball stopped on him.

Chopra's championship average this season tumbles to a measly 123.50.

Clyde Best was also a handful during West Ham's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on March 24, 1973.

In the pantheon of football's greatest goalscorers - Pele, Jimmy Greaves, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Paolo Rossi, Gerd Muller, etc, etc - it would be folly to overlook the name of Colin Alcide.

True, Napthaniel, so true.
The great Colin Alcide. Or as I, ever a stickler for accuracy, referred to him in the Echo on the day he signed for the Imps - Gary Alcide.

Don't be too hard on yourself Dave. The Chronicle called him Phileas Alcide.
