Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
It is a cool, grey morning in Taunton with drizzle in the air.
If somebody plays a better innings for Warwickshire this season than Chopra's current knock then it will be an exceptional innings indeed.
Maddy and Ambrose looked back towards their old selves, meanwhile, while Porterfield's driving was Jamesonesque in it's power. Quite encouraging.

Morning Brian,
I always thought Chopra could consider himself a little hard done by last season. I know he didn't make big scores, but I thought he looked to apply himself and certainly showed potential, but always seemed to be the first player to be left out when others returned to fitness. Hopefully he now gets a run in the team and is able to establish himself.
Maybe my memory is playing tricks but wasn't John Jameson about a foot taller and five stone heavier than Porterfield?
Morning Bozza. Yes, quite right - but the time it takes the ball to travel between the Porterfield/Jameson bat and the boundary is similar. About two seconds!
Chopra looked very good yesterday. There was a touch of Mark Wagh about his batting, I thought, the panache and natural timing. It will be interesting to see if he can take his career that step further than Mark did and play for England.
