The umpires have decreed that the Trent Bridge outfield is too wet for cricket to be played safely upon it.
For the last 45 minutes both teams have been engaged in full and energetic practice sessions on said outfield.
Sometimes cricket really shouldn't be allowed out.

Hi Caveman, 5.30pm inspection. Incredibly, though the players have been running around out there for an hour, it's still apparently not dry enough for them to go out there in an official capacity!
