Piolet off the mark
Yorkshire 259 for 4 (80 overs). Brophy 53, Rashid 3.
Bairstow and Brophy played it really well, first stopping the rot then ticking over nicely to add 100 before Bairstow, on 44, aimed for mid-wicket, missed and was adjudged lbw to give Piolet a maiden championship victim. A deserved one too - he deserves better figures than 10-1-49-1.
Rashid drove his second ball and Piolet just failed to hold on to what would have been a sensational return catch.
