Not an entirely positive experience.
Warwickshire 134 all out. Durham won by 219 runs.
Miller fends at Harmison and is caught at fifth slip for 4.
Clarke 8 not out.
Harmison 15.2-6-29-7.
The last seven wickets fell for 20.
Hard to put too positive a glow on it.

Brian, it has to be said that whilst your goodself and the contributors to this blog (bloggees?) enjoy the good humour, our banter should not hide the view that the team is now an utter shambles - I would hate the powers to be to read these comments and consider that the majority of supporters are anything other than embarrassed by these performances.
No doubt more excuses from Giles. This is HIS team - he knew Bell and Trott would be unavailable for much of the season. His solution? Sign Chopra! We are being asked to buy 6 year memberships! We are as poor as Worcester were last season.
Hard to disagree with what Steve said.
The lack of urgency with recruitment suggests we are banking on there being no relegation and instead 3 conferences of 6 next season thereby negating any ill effect resulting from the failure to recruit and retain properly over the last 3 seasons.
Yes, Steve and Droitwich Bear are quite right.
While I'm not excusing Giles, Mark Wagh's comments in his book about the difficulties that the club will face in getting in (or keeping) good players unless things change dramatically suggest a pretty difficult job for whoever is in charge. And he's not the only one to point this out.
Enjoy the afternoon off, at least, Brian.
Mad - an excellent point! That would explain the complete lack of investment in the team.
Shambles.
I admire Gilo's philosophy of bringing payers through, but some are not good enough and others are failing to perform.
Signing one batter over the winter was never going to sustain the team. Invest in the team Povey!
Chaps, I have just spoken to Ashley Giles and will put his post-match comments on here verbatim a little later when I have done what I have to do for the Mail and, most importantly, partaken of some of the soup which Durham CCC kindly provide (rude not to!).
