Leeds caressed by light, warm breeze.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It is a bright day morning at Headingley, mild with a light, warm breeze and high cloud.
Both teams are out in the middle practicing. Ateeq Javid is getting some short-leg practice from Ashley Giles, fed by Chris Armstrong.
Graeme Welch has a pitcher's glove in his left hand.
Is this - I think I may have posed this question before - to be the day the Bears bite back?

Let's hope so, Brian.
Any chance Barker will get a game?
Not this time, I don't think, Almajir. Stef Piolet gets the nod. Keith couldn't do any more to press his case but I imagine the deciding factor is that they already have a left-arm seamer in the team while Piolet's medium pace supplies a different option.
How does Piolet's bowling differ from Maddy's?
Hi Bob, it's quite a lot slower with a bit more variation.
Thanks Brian would a reasonable comparison be with Dermot Reeve - if you can remember that far back?
Yes Bob, a little bit Reevesesque - always keeping the batsman thinking. As I type this, he has just had McGrath dropped at second slip.
