Cloudy

By Brian Halford on Jul 1, 10 10:42 AM

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Warwickshire might get a bit of help from the weather later today but will have to earn it first because, while it is cloudy and quite gloomy, it's dry at the moment and play will, light permitting, start on time.

The area around Durham, with its lovely farmland and villages, is a delight but while the authorities were quite right to take all the signposts down during the Second World War, in case of invasion by the Nazis, it is time to put them back up now. The threat has passed.

Morning Brian, at the risk of sounding like a stuck record I notice Woakes is not playing for the Lions today - can we assume he is on his way to Durham to bat at No.11 under the nominated player rule ?

Morning Droitwich. No, I don't think that particular emergency service is on it's way.
