The rain has virtually stopped but the field is very wet. No play before 4pm at the earliest is the word on the street.

Fourteen-year-old Sam Hain will play for Warwickshire 2nds against Leicestershire in the three-day game starting at Coventry&NW tomorrow. Hain, Australian-born but in the UK on an exchange scheme and keen to pursue a career in cricket, has been sent the Bears' way by former skipper Michael Powell, his coach at Loretto School in Musselburgh.
