The guise of Noel Coward
LUNCH: Durham 196 for 3 (50) overs). Muchall 16, Blackwell 16.
After a loose first hour, Wawickshire fought back. Imran and Clarke bowled very well in tandem.
Durham are still in total command, 260 in front, but the little fightback, causing a slowing of the run-rate, might just delay the declaration until after tea which could only help the Bears' thin chance of escaping with a draw.
Mitchell Claydon joined us in the box for a while. He reckons there's still plenty in the pitch. Durham will be pretty happy to have seen Clarke and Rankin still getting a few to lift past the edge.
Very warm day.
Shame - I'm keen to get the jacket on and swan about in the guise of Noel Coward.
