Extras hit form

By Brian Halford on Jun 7, 10 07:26 PM

The Bears batting travails showed no sign of easing at Taunton today - top scorer for the 2nds was 'extras'.

The Bears played Somerset in the experimental Twenty20/Twenty20 tournament whereby each sides bats for twenty overs twice. Rain reduced the match to an intended 20 overs each followed by 15 overs each and Warwickshire made 60 for seven first time round (extras 16) then Somerset replied with 75 for two before rain returned.

Warwickshire 60 for seven. Somerset 75 for two. Somerset won by 48 runs (D/L)! Anyone who can fathom that winning margin please get in touch at brian.halford@birminghammail.net with the explanation!
