Bobby Kerr sawdust hamster

Warwickshire 149 for 7 (52 overs). Clarke 16, Miller 0.

This is the last pitch to suit Carter's hitting and an early attempt of his to smite Thorp over the top ends in a catch to Harmison at mid-on and his departure for 2.

That batting point is starting at look a rather long way away.

A deficit of around 100, meanwhile, would leave Warwickshire desperately needing Thursday's weather-forecast for heavy rain to come true.

And for this match to last that long, of course.

Afternoon Brian - would be great if you could sum up the reasons for another low score (barring minor miracles from Clarke and the tail).

It sounds like good bowling/dodgy decision and difficult conditions have had a big influence, but has the batting been up to much?

Good luck in the clothes hunt!

Hi Ian. Maddy copped a poor decision and Ambrose got an unplayable grubber. The rest has been down largely to good bowling in good bowling conditions.
There has been much talk about the Bear' batting but today and yesterday the opposition simply bowled better than Warwickshire did.

Keep up to date
