Umbrella-chewing

By Brian Halford on May 7, 10 05:21 PM

Kent 156 for 8 (55 overs). Stevens 18, Amjad 4.

After a really good spell from Maddy, Woakes is back on. Stevens is turning down singles now, suggesting Kent will settle for a draw.

It's so tense that Bears physio Gerhard Mostert is looking out the rear-window of the dressing-room at some trees rather than watch the umbrella-chewingly tense cricket out front.

11 overs left

Cripes! Tense, I'd better go into a darkened room and take a pill I think.
Looks like Kent are trying to close it down?

Ooooooo blimey, 8 & 1/2 overs to get either Amjad or Ntini?
I bet you've had more fun these last 4 games covering the bears Brian than in the previous 4 years of doing it!

Well.... congrats to the bears! Haven't I always said what a well rounded team they are!

Wow. I'm off for a lie down too.
But first, the M2, M25 and M40...
