Trott-esque defiance

Tea: Warwickshire 178 for 4 (52 overs). Trott 73, Clarke 26.

A really good, dogged Trott-esque session of defiance from Trott. No-one does Trott-esque like he does do they?

After one or two scares early on Clarke settled well but just before tea came a couple of reminders of the task still facing Warwickshire as Anderson delivered a shooter to Trott and the ball scuttled past off-stump and then Clarke went back to pull Chapple only to find the ball keeping down and he did well to jab down on the dastardly creeping sphere and get it to fine leg.
