Had a lovely chat with a Kent member at lunchtime. Really sweet, gentle, dignified, articulate old chap he was, about 120 years old I think, and so in love with cricket and Kent CCC. Struck me as the sort of cricket follower that some people running the game now would happily shed forever tomorrow but, in truth, encapsulates so much that is lovely about cricket.
