Refreshing breeze from the open door
Warwickshire 80 for 1 (27 overs). Maddy 51, Chopra 22.
Maddy reaches a nuggety half-century from 82 balls. On seven occasions has he propelled the ball as far as the field's edge.
The ball is swinging and Thomas, Willoughby and Phillips have bowled well, hence the slow scoring rate since tea. The bat is still being beaten occasionally but there have also been some good leaves.
One, by Chopra to Phillips, was one of the finest leaves seen on this ground since Peter Denning's day.
