Moore reached his 50 from 95 balls in the final over before lunch. What a shame that Clarke, who rarely misses a thing in the slips, couldn't hang on when Moore had 11.

Another fine morning's cricket. All over the country the championship is laying on fine entertainment this season and hopefully the campaign that is growing to stop the ECB pulling the competition apart for next season will achieve success.
