Khan is unfortunate

By Brian Halford on May 4, 10 12:35 PM

Warwickshire: 68 for 1 (24 overs). Maddy 36, Bell 9.

Khan, much better from the Pavilion End, was desperately close to dismissing both batsmen in the same over. Maddy, on 29, edged at catchable height between keeper and slip but, bizarrely, Jones left it. Bell, on 5, inside-edged a snorter and this time Jones failed to lay a glove on it down the leg side.

Much more difficult batting since the bowling tightened up about 12.03pm.

Cloud high. Bright but cold.

Ntini chirruping away. Reminiscent of the time when, fielding for the Bears, he was so loud at square-leg that umpire David Constant went and stood at point.

Keep up to date
