Fifty stand for Denly and Coles
Kent 86 for 1 (23 overs). Denly 36, Coles 22.
A good solid start by Kent. Woakes is bowling well from the Nackington Road End and has tested out Denly's defence but to no avail. One outside-edge scuttled away through the slips for four. Denly has twice driven Carter handsomely while nightwatchman Coles is doing his job diligently.
Coles is viewed as an all-rounder more than just a seamer and he has just given credence to that view by pulling Woakes for six to raise the 50 partnership.
Sunny.
