Ignominious

By Brian Halford on May 26, 10 12:05 PM

Warwickshire 157 for 6 (65 overs). Botha 6, Woakes 7.

Ambrose, on 8, went for a big drive at Kartik, rather inappropriate in the circumstances, edged to slip and departed, possibly in the direction of the 2nd XI.

agreed brian, surely johnson plays against durham. let him have a run in the side and take ambrose out of the firing line. it benefits both players. brian, if carter is still unavailable for the next game is there a case for playing keith barker ahead of botha? would give us the left arm seam that carter gave us and give us a bit more hitting down the order, like carter gave us. sort of a like-for-like replacement, perhaps gives us better balance?

Hi Andy. Carter will be unavailable against Durham and Barker's century for the 2nds today might just lever him into the first team.
I agree with you that an Ambrose/Johnson switch could benefit both.

I suggested that to Ashley at the forum, he said Richard needs to work on a few things 1st. But I think he should be given a go till we find out whats troubling Tim.I also agree Keith should play for the injured Carter.
