A hundred stand
Durham 113 for 1 (36 overs). Stoneman 56, Muchall 36.
Barker has got some good balls past the bat but this pair has posted a century stand from 35 overs.
Woakes bowled for an hour from the City End and is now being replaced by Clarke.
Very pleasant today. All quiet on building site. Sunny with nice, quite strong breeze. Sedate. Peaceful. Mellow.

Morning Brian,
has our bowling really lacked any sort of penetration, or have we been sufficiently cowardly to retreat into producing feather-bed wickets in order to protect our fragile batting?
Hi Bozza. No it's not a feather-bed. A few have beaten the bat and Clarke, especially, has got one or two to rear.
Well that's good, we need to see wickets which give every chance of a result, the cricket has been much more enjoyable this year. Bit ominous for our batsmen though, they'll have to perform with some skill and determination, which is as it should be.
