A harsh decision

By Brian Halford on May 25, 10 05:28 PM

Warwickshire 99 for 2 (35 overs). Chopra 31, Troughton 0.

Maddy, on 61, misses a sweep and is adjudged lbw, rather harshly as the ball had a long way still to travel to the stumps.

I would be impressed, hugely impressed, if anyone, without recourse to official documents, could name the seven bowlers used by Warwickshire in their inaugural Twenty20 game against Somerset at Taunton in 2003.

Hi chaps - Waqar Younis, Ian Bell, Graham Wagg, Neil Smith, Neil Carter, Collins Obuya and Jonathan Trott.

Andy - yes I remember Bell taking 4 for 4, I think it was, at Lord's and being unplayable. I asked him about his bowling earlier this season and he said it's not that he doesn't want to bowl or that England have told him not to, it's more a case that it's so long since he did it he probably wouldn't be any good at it.
Time for him to chip off the rust perhaps?

Keep up to date
