Two take a tumble

By Brian Halford on Apr 11, 10 12:22 PM

Warwickshire 142 for 3 (42 overs). Trott 27, Troughton 2.

Chopra (45, 104 balls) edged Bresnan into the slips then Bell perished in hugely frustrating fashion. On 54, and having just slapped Shahzad through backward point for four, he lifted the next ball, a very ordinary short offering, into the hands of Lyth at point.

Half an hour of Bell and Trott motoring and Warwickshire would have been in a strong position. As it is, with the pitch still assisting the seamers, this match could go any way.

Warwickshire are 85 ahead. Trott batting well.

This could be a tie.

Stilgoe is not my cup of tea. I saw him in Mothercare once, said hello and he blanked me completely. Brandreth, on the other hand, seemed quite a pleasant chap when I spotted him in Asda.

I saw Larry Grayson at a fate in Nuneaton once. He was with the ladies on the stall selling white mice and seemed like a nice man.
