Cat put among Edgbaston pigeons
Popped into Edgbaston for the Media Day this morning and took the chance to survey the scene from the City End and picture what it's going to be like watching cricket as construction takes place as the Building Site End this season.
In the short-term, not too bad, I'd say. Screens will hide the site very effectively during the work's early stages and, with the demolition all done, there is the bonus of trees visible in the background - arguably an improvement already.
Best of all, there was, wait for it, a Canada goose on the outfield. A great big, handsome Canada goose honking away. That'll put the cat among the pigeons when the pied wagtails arrive.
