Anderson strikes

By Brian Halford on Apr 16, 10 11:22 AM

Warwickshire 28 for 4 (13 overs). Bell 2, Troughton 0.

Bell takes another single and Trott edges his first ball, from Anderson, to the wicket-keeper.

Belly's got to stop taking these singles!

Beautiful morning, feels warmer than yesterday. Must say local members and stewards are very friendly. The same can not be said for Flintoff who had a net yesterday. One 8 year old asked him for an autograph and it was refused. The lancs members said he had been the same for a couple of years,

Morning Beatie. That's very disappointing to hear. Disgraceful in fact. It takes, what, 0.5 seconds to sign for a little boy?
Bell and Trott were doing the honours after play last night.
The BBC's Richard Wilford (who is right now excecuting his fine live commentary on this match on the internet) recalls an incident here when Glenn McGrath was approached by a mob of young 'uns on the outfield. He held up bis hand and went into the pavilion and people thought "who does he think he is?" only for him to return a minute later with a chair, sit on it and spend the next half-hour signing away. Top man.

Most players are very good.Sadly when they become "stars" the signature goes downhill. Must say Trott even thanks the collectors for asking. I actually mentioned to Steve Finn on Saturday how good his signature was and whether he could retain it as he was asked for more. Come on Belly!
