Chopra flicked his first ball faced for Warwickshire confidently through mid-wicket for two but added only another two before getting half-forward to former Bears target Shahzad, failing to cover the inswing and falling lbw.

There is a bit of construction-type activity at the Building Site End but it's relatively quiet and discreet. It's rather nice to see some trees rising at that end of the ground.

There's a decent crowd in and Westwood has just biffed the first boundary of the season, through the covers off Bresnan.
