On July 26, 1985, playing for Somerset against Warwickshire in the championship at Edgbaston, Ian Botham struck an unbeaten 138 from 65 balls.

His first 100 comprised 26 scoring strokes from 50 balls. He struck Norman Gifford for 20 from an over before lunch and 24 (including three sixes) from an over after the interval.

Botham's innings included 12 sixes, 13 fours, two twos, ten singles and 28 dot balls.

But no threes.
