Thoughts in a Leamington bookshop

I was in a bookshop yesterday doing a bit of Chrimbo shopping (Christmas is a poignant time in our household. I came from a poor family. One Christmas things were so tight Mum and Dad gave me an empty box and told me it was an action man deserter) and was browsing round the sports book shelves with all their categories - cricket, golf, motorsport and the like - and came to football and then, to my amazement, a section on "football hooliganism".

How can that horrible stain on sport in this country possibly be considered worthy of such emphasis?
