The Manchester weather

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

Manchester has a well-deserved global reputation for grey, wet weather but this morning dawned fine and warm with the sun rising like a glorious pearl above Sale Leisure Centre.

There's a bit of cloud around but it's high and light. With the forecast pretty good there should be a full game of cricket ahead as Warwickshire, with Carter returning for the departed Sreesanth, attempt to round off their remarkable late-season resurgence by climbing to second place in the final championship table.
