Slightly mad
LUNCH: Lancashire 203 for 4 (64 overs). Laxman 84, Croft 42.
I just nipped out for a spot of fresh air and was standing in the car-park at the Stretford End idly watching play and munching me corned-beef and pickle baguette when a bloke in a yellow coat came over.
"You can't watch the cricket from 'ere," he said, charmlessly.
"Why not?" I asked, politely.
"Insurance purposes," he says with an air of finality that brooks no argument.
So standing there in acres of space minding my own business 140 yards from the cricket eating a baguette I am an insurance risk.
The world has, of course, gone slightly mad.
