Sussex were chirpy after taking two wickets in successive overs but Clarke quietened them down again with a six and a four, both glorious straight hits, off successive balls from Nash. He also swept Chawla for four.
Troughton is playing a really steady hand here. Rarely has he reached 50 with only five fours. Excellent concentration.
"The lead is starting to reach dangerous proportions," the man from the Times has just noted.
