Perceived bad light stops play
LUNCH: Warwickshire 2-0 (1 over). Westwood 2, Botha 0.
Lancashire 389 all out (126 overs). Sutton 45 not out. Rankin ended the last-wicket stand at 36 when Keedy, on 18, edged to Ambrose.
Warwickshire need 241 to avoid an innings defeat.
The ramshackle air of this match continued when the first ball of Warwickshire's second innings was delivered while the groundsman's roller was still trundling off the field. Had Westwood turned the ball to fine leg we would have had the unusual sight of a ball being prevented from reaching the boundary by being rolled into the outfield.
Then after one over, you guessed it, the umpires took the players off for perceived bad light.
Ian Westwood had signed an extension to his contract to cover the next three years during which he will, Ashley Giles has confirmed, "definitely" remain captain.
