Nash, Chawla and anchovies strike

By Brian Halford on Sep 11, 09 11:13 AM

Warwickshire 337 for 7 (120 overs). Troughton 51, Clarke 0.

Warwickshire take three batting points and are happy with that judging by the lack of aggression in the run-up to the 120-over cut-off point.

Troughton and Ambrose reached their 50s in successive overs from 123 and 125 balls respectively. Then Ambrose edged Nash to slip to fall for 50 and Sussex picked up a potentially vital bowling point with 5 balls to spare.

Woakes went in because Clarke is feeling a but dicky due to some dodgy anchovies but was soon fell lbw to Chawla.

The Bears' victory hopes are not harmed by a hip injury affecting first-innings century-maker Joyce. He will probably bat but not be able to go in until number seven unless he gets out and does some fielding pretty soon.
