Clad in pink and white

By Brian Halford on Sep 9, 09 12:46 PM

LUNCH. Sussex 106 for 2 (31 overs). Joyce 38, Goodwin 12.

Rankin was rewarded for a wholehearted spell from the Cromwell Road End when he got one to bounce and Yardy, on 29, gloved it to Ambrose.

They could do with getting Joyce fairly sharpish after lunch.

The cricket is being observed by a good-sized crowd including one of the more flamboyant supporters in county cricket - a huge, frizzy-haired tranvestite, clad in pink and white, who applauds enthusiastically and knowledgeably any action of merit from the home side.

He's sitting over there among the Sussex members, young and old, male and female, all happily relishing the cricket.

"So many different people in the same device".

Keep up to date
