Bell departs

By Brian Halford on Sep 10, 09 03:06 PM

Tea: Warwickshire 212 for 4 (73 overs). Trott 42, Troughton 0

A wicket fell in the last over before tea, just as one had in the last over before lunch.

A partnership of 92 in 32 overs ended when Bell drove hard at Chawla and edged to slip where sub fielder Hamilton-Brown took the catch.

Bell's 104 (210 balls, 17 fours) was a great effort for his team. An innings of two distinct phases - attractive then gritty. He departed furious at himself for getting out just when Sussex, who have persevered manfully, were starting to wilt a little.

It's hot on the south coast today.
