Troughton was denied a deserved century when, on 85, he attempted to turn Kirtley to leg and the ball unluckily diverted off his pad on to the stumps.

I mean Troughton was unlucky, of course, not the ball itself.

Sreesanth shuffled across to his first ball and fell lbw. Rankin kept out the hat-trick ball with aplomb, turning it to fine leg for a classy single.
