An unwelcome development

By Brian Halford on Aug 29, 09 11:14 AM

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

I'm afraid the blog has to go to sleep for a while as, due to a broken arm diagnosed in A & E at Scarborough Hospital at 12.45am today, I cannot write, type or drive for some weeks. (It has taken an age to tap out even leave this short note with my left mitt).

I knew the seagulls would get me in the end.

That's terrible Brian, I daren't ask what you've been up to! Hope you'll be quickly on the mend.

Let's hope you'll be treated to an exciting days cricket, although I'm afraid it's going to be yet another tedious draw, which will only intensify your pain. Oh for the days of no points for a draw and finishes in virtually every match. It may have been contrived but it gave a lot of excitement to the spectators.

Maybe news from Dagenham will cheer you up!

Surely you can type with one hand?

Condolences to you Brian, from Mike Taylor's description you were crossing the car park of the now defunct "The Cricketers" in which case I very nearly had a similar result on Wed evening, tripping over the same rope/chain even though I knew it was there and like yourself I was very sober. I'm sure we are not the only ones, seems that little red tag of ribbon is insufficient, or as H & S speak, not fit for purpose.

Get well soon

I'm sorry to hear that Brian. Jane told me about it this morning. The worst thing for me would be having to hang around all day until you can be driven home and have it properly seen to.

I hope everything will be ok

Keep up to date
