Three for Ferley

By Brian Halford on May 10, 09 12:53 PM

Warwickshire 163 for 5 (34 overs). Westwood 19, Clarke 2.

Trott and Troughton added 108 in 18 overs. Troughton looked in prime form and hit three sixes in 62 from 59 balls but then, perhaps a little over-confident, went for a fourth six and did not get to the pitch of the ball which skied to long off.

Trott perished in surprisingly tame fashion for 53 from 85 balls with just three fours, mis-sweeping Ferley to short fine leg. Ambrose made 7 before driving Ferley straight to short extra.

Ashley Giles took his first first-class wicket on this ground. Alan Igglesden,

I have just met - and been rebuked by - the grumpiest spectator in the history of county cricket.

That's made me smile..is he a Kent supporter?
I can't imagine any Warwickshire fans being grumpy :)
Look for a lady with a biggish camera her name is Sarah and she is the most fanatical Kent fan known to man.
She's lovely..not at all grumpy.

Thanks Val. I'll look out for Sarah to redress the balance.
Yes he is a Kent supporter - one who fell out of the Grumpy Tree and hit every branch on the way down.
I just smiled politely at him. Kent O Warwickshire 1!
