Ten days in Wells-next-the-Sea

By Brian Halford on May 6, 09 11:29 AM

Yorkshire 34 for 0 (8 overs). Rudolph 19, Sayers 14.

It looks like a very good toss to win. Very good batting track.

Rankin has hurried the batsmen once or twice but Woakes' radar has been a bit awry so far. Rudolph punished a couple of short balls with withering force.

The coffee machine in the press-box is broken. The enormity of this event is slowly sinking into the eight scribes in attendance and has cast a bit of a shadow, frankly.

What's the attendance like today?
I'm on England duty and the other half has swine/man flu so will keep up to date with yours truly.
Do say hello to Jane if she is around.

Will do Val.
Attendance: reasonable. Perhaps a little disappointing for quite an attractive game.

I wish i was there instead of at work, maybe i can change career... do you require a Coffee Procurement Engineer Brian?

Hi Windy. That would be great. However, with the journalism industry currently in slightly less good health than the timber industry in the Blue Ridge Mountains was in 1948, it would have to be a voluntary position.

Keep up to date
