Seven leg-byes
Warwickshire 218 all out
A rather untidy collapse from 130 for 2.
Westwood, after a perky 23, holed out to to deep mid-wicket. Clarke, rightly sent back by Botha, was run out for 16. Woakes, on 5, lifted Van Jaarsveld to long off. Patel, a day after lodging his maiden century, chipped his first-ball, from Parnell, to mid-wicket.
When Rankin hit Mahmood for four in the 48th over it was the first boundary for 20 overs. Botha (21 not out) and Rankin (9) added 22 for the last wicket before Rankin was yorked by Mahmood. There were seven leg-byes.
Warwickshire will have to bowl well to win. Much depends on Botha and Patel.
Explaining Ian Bell's recall to the Test squad, Geoff Miller said today that the Bears batsman "has been in form in the early part of the season and a part of the England set up in recent years."
True. But surely that was just as true last week when Miller also revealed that Bell needs to show more passion. Obviously Belly's 37 against Yorkshire in the champo showed the requisite greater passion.

I'd rather have Windy Miller as chairman of selectors.
Kent will win this at a canter in 40 overs.
