One paw on victory

By Brian Halford on May 29, 09 06:55 PM

Worcestershire 148 for 8 (20 overs).

Warwickshire's bowling was much their best yet in the group this season and their fielding 100 per cent quicker and cleaner than their untidy work at Taunton on Wednesday.

Only Davies (73, 48 balls) and Mitchell (35, 31) reached double figures.

Barker 4-0-19-4. He returned to bowl Davies with a very intelligent piece of bowling, firing in a yorker as the batsman made room and forcing him to play on. Botha, 4-0-20-0, also bowled very well and the majority of a sun-soaked 14,000-ish crowd should get the result they desire.

Patel will be on a hat-trick when he comes on to bowl at Cardiff tomorrow.
