Seagull on a stick

By Brian Halford on Apr 16, 09 01:05 PM

Lunch: Warwickshire 331 for 4 (86 overs). Bell 155, Ambrose 41.

Ambrose has done a quietly effective job.

Woakes and Carter might fancy these bowling conditions. Actually, there was a strong case for including Tahir in place of Botha.

Goldfinches, willow warblers and wrens are all very well, but I do feel I have to stand up for the poor old seagull. Not content with condemning it's ablutionary habits, you're now offering up a colourful a la carte of the poor warm-blooded, egg-laying, feathered vertebrae of the ocean going variety. This sort of discrimination must stop, there may be good cause for the establishment of a Birmingham branch of RSPB - Royal Society for the Protection of seagulls from Brian!
Ambrose, by the way, will probably also do remarkably well early season but be studiously ignored by England.

P.S.
What have the Americans ever done for us?
Well, yes I'll give you The Waltons, I suppose.
And then there was the Hula-Hoop.....
